Melissa is an Australian Speech and Language Therapist who studied at Macquarie University, Australia. She is registered with the Allied Health Professions Council in Singapore. She is also fully registered with Speech Pathology Australia and a member of the Hanen Centre.

Melissa has experience working in private clinics, community centres, schools, group homes and in client’s homes. Melissa has extensively worked with children with speech and language disorders and delays, children with disabilities and developmental delays, children with Autism, behavioural difficulties, feeding difficulties, fussy eaters, children with pragmatic language difficulties, as well as with children who stutter. Melissa believes in taking a holistic family-centred approach and involving caregivers in treatment sessions to ensure the best possible outcome for the child. Melissa provides a research evidence-based approach during treatment and evaluations.

Melissa is trained in SOS (Sequential Oral Sensory) Approach to Feeding, Feeding Therapy: A Sensory Motor Approach, Hanen: It Takes Two to Talk, Hanen: More Than Words, Hanen: Talkability, Makaton/Key Word Sign Presenter, the Lidcombe Program for treating stuttering and is extensively experienced in low-tech and high-tech AAC (Alternative and Augmentative Communication) and supporting clients to use a Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) and has completed PECS Level 1 training.

Melissa enjoys providing a fun environment and integrating sensory input to ensure that children get the most out of their sessions. She actively works collaboratively with parents, caregivers, other healthcare professionals, teachers to ensure consistent input across all environments.
