Laavanya is a Speech and Language Pathologist, who has experience working with young children with complex communication and feeding needs in Singapore. She graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Masters of Science (Speech & Language Pathology) degree. She is a fully registered therapist with the Allied Health Professional Council (AHPC), and also enjoys being a clinical educator, supervising SLP students and new graduates.

Laavanya has experience working with young clients with Autism Spectrum disorder (ASD), profound and multiple disability (PMLD), Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, global developmental delays (GDD), picky eating, language delays, and/or speech delays, as well as social communication deficits in the domains of communication, language, speech and feeding. She strongly believes that everyone has a ‘voice’ and also has experience in supporting clients gain a voice with the aid of augmentative & alternative communication (AAC) systems and assistive devices.

Having worked in transdisciplinary team settings, Laavanya possesses a keen interest in working with families and caregivers to build relationships and empower them on their journeys with their children. She is also a strong advocate for child-centred practice, and enjoys collaborating with teachers, therapists and other health professionals to ensure holistic support for her clients.
