Aimee completed her studies at Massey University in Auckland New Zealand. Aimee has experience in the government and private sectors working in early childhood centres, special schools, primary schools, people's homes, North Shore Hospital and Massey clinic.
Aimee is trained in Hanen Language Learning and Loving It, Way to Play, EngageMe, Routines Based Intervention, Language Learning Intervention and the Lidcombe program. Aimee is a lover of learning and actively participates in professional development opportunities.
Aimee has a passion for working with children with a range of communication difficulties. She has worked with children who have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Global Developmental Delays (GDD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), Developmental Coordination Disorder, speech sound disorders, language delays, social communication difficulties, stuttering, dysphagia and sensory feeding difficulties. Aimee is competent in assessing and providing evidence-based intervention. Aimee strives to make all therapy goals achievable and tailored to the individual child's needs.
Aimee strongly believes relationship is key and loves getting to know her clients and their family. She works hard to promote that all children regardless of their limitations have inherent worth. She believes that every child has the right to communicate their wants, needs, thoughts and emotions.
